The Interior Workshop takes a very flexible approach to the interior design process.
Our designers are happy to work with you as you start to develop interior design ideas for your home. They’ll then plan and manage your home improvement project all the way through to completion.
Contact us now to arrange a personalised design consultation or to meet us in our design studio.
Step-by-step project planning starts with developing your ideas.
We’ll meet to discuss your style, taste, ideas and lifestyle. Spending time getting to know you, learning about your family, how you spend your time, what you love and what inspires you will help us to initiate some great interior design ideas.
We will talk about your specific needs, budgets and timings and consider how to incorporate any structural plans already drawn up, as well as how to make the most of any existing design features and furnishings.
As we get to know you, we will use sketches, plans, mood boards, books, swatches and samples to bring together a new interior design for your home
Of course, we are more than happy to come to you, but many projects start with an informal consultation in our easy-to-find shop and studio in Woldingham.
With hundreds of books featuring ranges from leading fabric and wall-covering manufacturers, our studio is a fabulous interior design resource full of ideas and inspiration.
We will also take time to talk through the practical elements of any makeover or refurbishment, including a review of technical considerations and detailed costings. These may include structural aspects, electrics, plumbing and the design and construction of bespoke joinery and furniture. Floor coverings, lighting systems and audio-visual equipment can all be reviewed before the project commences.
Once we have agreed the details of a project, The Interior Workshop will…
- Share a detailed proposal with a breakdown of costs and timelines for mutual sign off.
- Manage other consultants on your behalf, including architects, surveyors, structural engineers, electricians and lighting technicians. Our designers will liaise with suppliers and craftsmen to ensure that delivery schedules are met.
- Remain in close contact with you throughout the project, visiting regularly to ensure that each stage of the project is undertaken with attention to detail and to the highest levels of workmanship.
- Take care of the finishing touches, including the layout of furniture and placement of soft furnishings and window dressings.
A happy client is important to us and we will always ask for a post-project review with you. It’s a great opportunity to get your feedback on what went right, what could be improved and how we can work together again in the future. Of course, we’d hope that our initial project together is just the first of many.
Please contact us now to discuss how we can work together – we look forward to creating your perfect interior.
